Studio Auspex is a unique collaboration between Clinton Lewis and Joshua McCoy. We are photojournalists who are dedicated to providing our clients the best experience and visual wedding coverage possible.

We offer cutting edge multimedia coverage, timeless documentary photography and superb print design for your wedding celebration.

The term “Auspex” is quite fitting for us. From it’s Latin roots, the common definition is ‘one that derives omens from the flight pattern of birds’ (think of the release of doves following the ceremony) or an older translation is ‘an official visitor at a wedding.’ Either way, “Auspex” defines our vision and passion for uncompromising quality.

Our studio is based in Bowling Green, Ky. and serves couples from around the world. The principal photographers can be commissioned separately or together for the ultimate studio experience. Stop by and see our work up close and let us share your vision of the perfect wedding day.

Together we'll create a fun, energetic and artistic solution with unyielding distinction that will last a lifetime.

Clinton Lewis

I am a principal photographer, designer and co-founder of Studio Auspex. I first discovered photography in high school through the magic of printing in the darkroom. As a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Photojournalism, my work has been published in various publications across the country. I am especially proud of my 8+ years as a staff photojournalist for the Daily News in Bowling Green. In 2007, I became the Creative Director for Kentucky Bridal Magazine, overseeing all design and photography.

My philosophy is to apply the groundwork of his documentary background to your wedding day, recording all the emotion and moments of your celebration. I prefer to blend in to the background and let you live your day with few interruptions.

I live in Bowling Green with my wife and 3 children.

Joshua McCoy

I am a principal photographer and co-founder of Studio Auspex. A native of Graves County, Ky., I knew at a young age I wanted to photograph happy moments. This notion led me to WKU earning a degree in Photojournalism also. Over the past several years, I have worked for newspapers and portrait studios, learning the essentials of lighting, composition and storytelling.

I document weddings with a fun natural, unobtrusive style and my personality leads to breathtaking imagery.

I currently live in Bowling Green.
